OK, see . . . Patpong is still about sex. At least once you get off the main road. Then the gogo bars flourish and the working girls won't let you walk by without grabbing ahold and trying to get you to come in to their joint. I liked the red light on this bar girl, but it was a busy night so I never could get a clean shot. Settled for one of her friend's ass in the shot instead.

Over to Kho San Road for their version of a night market. This is the backpacker area of Bangkok and even the locals have a grungier look to them. Just so you know that there are street artists world wide doing fast and funny portraits, here's Bangkok's entry. | |||||

Cabbages and Condoms is a well known restaurant off Sukhumvit Road. Condoms all over the place, and some great food, too. Part of the money they take in goes to Bangkok's version of Planned Parenthood. I eat here on every trip to Bangkok, mostly for this great purple dough thingy appetizer they have. The Garlic shrimp is good too. Best yet, most of the dining rooms are open air so you can smoke at your table (yep, those nasty no smoking laws have even made their way to Thailand).
