I've been to Bangkok so many times that I've exhausted the touri excursions, as well as touri pix. Everyday life and the colors of the city are what attract me nowadays for photo opps. This first shot wasn't planned. In fact I snapped it walking down Silom, didn't even stop walking. It could be from any large city in the world. Which is kinda the point. For all of Bangkok's amazing local flavor, it still is one of the world's capital cities, modern, bustling, and somewhat familiar.

Thai Popsicles

This shot is from the weekend market. These are the Thai version of popsicles. Made from fruit juice. Bangkok's hot. The market is hotter. This is a great refreshment when you've tired of drinking your fifth bottle of water of the day.

Night Juice

Patpong area at night is filled with color. Most of it neon. And lots of flourescent lights from vendor stalls, too. This guy was selling various juices. I took the shot but passed on the juice (never have gotten sick from eating in Thailand, but then why take a chance?)

Bankok Lottery Ticket Vendor

Another thing I've never done is played the Thai lottery. You see these lottery ticket salespeople set up along sidewalks all over town. With the SE Asia inclination for scams, I wonder how may of the tickets sold are fakes. Undoubtedly those sold to touri are.
