Bora Bora Lagoon

A classic view of Bora Bora, OK the boat in the foreground is artistic, but then it’s hard to not take a great shot of this island. This one is from an afternoon sailboat ride. Being used to motorboats, I was pleasantly surprised by the sounds via sail. You can actually hear the water swishing by!

Coconut

Wilson! Nah, I took this shot before that movie came out. And now the ‘coconut head’ photo is probably a touri staple. Another reason to think Tom Hanks sucks! Actually, I met this real cool old English couple at the hotel and ended up beachcombing for the day with them. Probably should have taken their picture instead, but then that’s just not me . . .

Polynesian Kids

Native Polynesian dance performances for touri . . . well, I lived in Hawaii for over 20 years and can do without them (though the real stuff is cool). So while my fellow touri were snapping pix of Tahitians doing Samoan war dances, I got this shot of a young performer getting ready for the stage.

Stormy Day On Bora Bora

OK, so all was not well in Paradise, if you count several rainy and stormy days as not well. Was fine with me though, I’m one of those weird people who enjoys the beach on a rainy day. This is a shot of the little grass shacks the hotel offers as rooms at $325 a night.
