An incredibly busy border crossing, at least for the locals, is the Burma/Thailand border. Note that they've spelled Burma wrong again . . . Myanmar . . . not even close! (Joke). For $30 you can get the necessary visa to cross over, but you are limited to staying just in the immediate area and it looks the same as the Thai side, so why bother?
