I've been to Cancun a few times. The town changes everytime I've visited. Of course since it usually gets hit by any hurricanes that blow by, it's not surprising that it takes on a new look with each visit. Like most of Mexico, for me, it's all about the colors. This is a local dive shop. Not interested in diving, but great stairway!

Colorful Window

Yep, more color. This is a house just outside of the downtown area of Cancun (that would be outside toward the local area, not the touri area. Not that some of the hotels aren't picture perfect - they just seem a bit too contrived. But then I guess that's the whole purpose of Cancun, no?

Beachside Shade

Of course brightly colored walls are no match for mother nature's pallet. The ocean takes on the most vivid colors of blue in Cancun and you can have a prime viewing spot steps from your hotel room, with a steady supply of Coronas brought to your lounge chair. Nice to not even have to get up to take a picture!

Cancun Storm

Just so you don't think Cancun is all about sun. Day two of my most recent visit was a bit stormy. Seemed to intensify the colors along the shore. Mmmmmm, double checked the weather channel to make sure a hurricane wasn't headed our way before taking back off to wade along the beach.
