This shot looks better large. Don’t usually do this, but click on it for the larger version. These are my colors. This is Hawaii, to me. Taken off Waimanalo Beach . . . see, ya really need to get out of Waikiki!

Hawaii Outrigger

A more typical shot for me than the one above - it’s all in the details, let your mind expand from there. In case you’re confused (beyond your natural state) this is of an outrigger. Uh, boat. Uh, canoe. Aw, forget it.

Hawaii Lava Flow

Yes, lava does still flow on the Big Island. My Dad visited once and we went over for the day. Got to stand on top of a cooling Lava flow outside of Kalapana. Great experience, stupid touri trick. Sure it was cool looking down into a crack with fiery red/orange lava moving slowly underfoot. But really, really, stupid. Better to use a real long telephoto lens and take a shot . . .

Keki Hula

Awwwwww. Cute! Keki Hula (means small kine, dummy). Don’t usually do the little kid shots, but this little wahine’s eyes were just too expressive to pass up. Shot this one at the Bishop Mueseum. While visiting friends were in looking at the exhibits, I watched the hula lessons for touri thing instead.
