Influenced by the time we’ve spent on tropical beaches around the world, our Island Dude line of handcrafted sterling silver pendants and earrings feature the myriad rainbow colors of Semanticus African (South African Turban Shell) and the natural swirl design of the Eye of Shiva Shell.

Turban Shell Pendants and Earrings This stunning shell was harvested in Hout Bay, South Africa. All of the deep brilliant colors are natural. Once the shell is polished to reveal its beautiful exterior of brown and crimson peach, then the grinding and polishing process continues so that in some areas the gorgeous inner nacre of mother of pearl is visible. This stunning shell is the result of alot of skilled and laborious polishing.

Eye of Shiva Pendants & Earrings Shiva Shell, also known as The Eye of Shiva is the protective covering at the opening of the Turban snail shell. Towards the end of the snail’s life this protective door detaches and sinks to the seabed. On one side of the Shiva shell is a beautiful spiral. the exact shape of which is unique from one shell to the next.
