Petronas Towers

Kuala Lumpur. Malaysia. Better known as KL. Can't visit without taking the obligatory shot of the Petronas Towers (uh, yep, another Asian shopping mall). Reminded me way too much of Singapore, so I headed back to the Chinatown area after snapping this shot and having a quick bite to eat at the mall (a $12 lunch in Asia!?!!)

Street Side Cook

Mo' bettah. Street side dining along Petling street. Half the price of lunch and more food than I could eat. And good people watching to boot . . . my first meal there was quite memorable - go find the Ramblings page on KL to learn more.

Chinese Temple Incense

Though Malaysia is an Islamic country, they're fairly tolerant of other religions. The local Chinese have their own temples, which I'm more drawn to than the mosques. This is a shot of an incense coil, one of many that hang from the ceiling inside the temples.

Palm Reader

The palmistry sign caught my attention first, then the old chinese guy waiting for his next customer, then the cool colors of the surrounding walls. Wasn't until I was looking through the viewfinder that I noticed the short stools . . .
